It has been a godsend. I'm pleased I have read and understood your paperwork! You have saved me days of work! Again thank you for the paperwork, it has been such an easy process!

Georgia G.

Practice Owner

This was some awesome information. Thank you very much for developing this for us. It was just what I needed to stay on task and organize my thoughts.  Again, thank you.

TAMARA HOWELL //

PGDIP, MSC, REG. MBACP (ACCRED.)

Therapists often find my paperwork shop when setting up private practice and can’t face the 30 or 40… or even 50 hours of reading, researching and formatting policies.

They want to make sure their i's are dotted and t's are crossed.

Luckily, I love paperwork. No, really! Even though I love being a therapist, I'm a policies and procedures geek with a professional background in insurance and compliance.

I am passionate about researching ethical guidelines and providing clear, professional, lawyer approved document templates that support clients at their most vulnerable moments, help therapists to feel confident and prepared AND protect our private practices.

I've worked with therapists, researchers, solicitors and lay people to make these documents professional and clear, and I hope they save you time and stress!

Here's how it works...

  • Choose Your Documents - Browse the shop, check out the descriptions and choose the documents you need.
  • Add to cart and checkout - Make sure you have everything you need and then enter payment details...
  • Receive templates by email - You'll receive the documents in your inbox. You can download, open and edit straight away!

Who Are These Documents For?

SETTING UP PRACTICE

If you are a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist starting your own private practice, these documents will save time so you can get up and running.

You can edit them in an afternoon and welcome your first client the next day!

RETURNING TO PRACTICE

After a break, some of us like to review our policies and procedures and make sure we are up to date with ethical guidelines.

Having our documents in order supports our professionalism and means we can get back to the work as soon as we want to.

EXPANDING PRACTICE

For therapists switching between online and in person, getting documents organised can alleviate stress and increase confidence. Therapists expanding their practice abroad will benefit from professional, lawyer reviewed privacy policies and supporting documentation.

What is meant by the description “assessed, reviewed and edited by solicitors”?

After extensively researching solicitor firms for the most appropriate team, we instructed a London based firm of solicitors who reviewed, edited and updated our paperwork in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (including GDPR and other applicable data privacy legislation).

Our solicitors have reviewed the templates, so if you make edits to the content or meaning, we recommend that you consult your own legal representatives for clarification where necessary.

Are the documents compliant with membership organisation guidelines?

We produced these documents following research of over 550 pages of guidelines and literature published by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). We continue to read and research new literature and guidelines to ensure compliance.

However, each practice and practice area are different and you are responsible for ensuring that the way you work complies with the guidelines and recommendations of your membership organisation.
